Classic Brad Story

Tonight was a good night at youth group. It was fun to get back to a normal night after 3 weeks of events. We played kickball with a giant kickball. I was having a great game, I had 2 rbi's. and 3 hits. On my last hit I hit the game tying rbi hit, I'm rounding first, slip on the rubber base and land on the ground. Nothing's sprained, but I put grass stains, blood and a hole in my pants, and a nice hole in my knee. Classic Brad falling story. Other than that, a great night. I'm now relaxing and really looking forward to my day off before a crazy week

wow way too long

Well, it's been over 2 weeks since my last post. Things are crazy right now. I don't know where to begin as an update but some highlights of ministry in the last couple weeks

We've had numbers of 11, 16, 18, 22 and 24 at Cutters Point Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
Jr. High Retreat went really well to BPPC, Greg did a great job organizing and leading
Chic Fundraising and our silent auction is coming together.
Easter was a nice break to Oregon

Prayer Requests.
I have a ton going on next week, we have a council and congregational meeting next week, along with our silent auction, movie night and normal youth groups. Pray for my peace of mind as my job is discussed in the next week. Pray that I will be open to whatever God has for that.
I feel like we continued to be bombarded with "church crap" and fall out from people leaving our church, so pray that those things will stop, and everyone is able to move on.

Back to work on my two papers due Friday! Happy Wednesday

Laser Tag

Wow, 2 posts in consecutive days. Just wanted everyone to know Laser Tag was a blast, we had 26 total players, and I won! I said before hand I was going to win, and no one believed me, Ha! Gotta love the competitveness! It was a lot of fun though! And we ended up only losing 3 bucks, so not bad at all! Hope everyone has a great week. Mine will be busy doing a lot of stuff outside of church since it's spring break. I'm quite excited!

I am not a soccer mom...

So the big news of the week is that I have a new car. I bought a 98 Ford Windstar Mini
Van. Yes I'm a 23 year old guy with a mini van! However, I may just be dorky enough to pull it off, and makes a ton of sense since my church doesn't have a church van. I'm actually excited about the mini van. This means that my parents will sell my car to Sarah, so she has a car now also! Outside of fighting a cold, it's been a good week. Tomorrow is Laser Tag so it's a low key prep day. Well I'm off to sleep!

Nice end to the week

Hey all, thought I'd write real quick as I'm heading for bed tonight. This week was really good. I dealt with a couple tough issues, but it was nice, because it had nothing to do with church issues, and just normal teen stuff. It was quite refreshing. We had a good night at crew tonight. Got into some good conversations, and everything seemed to flow smoothly. We started our monthly leader dinners, and it was awesome. It was great to get everyone on the same page, and have some time to share my vision and where I want to see the group grow.
The most exciting part of the day was our Chic spaghetti feed fundrasier. I expected we'd make a couple hundred bucks, but we made $1800 for our trip to Tennessee. It was a great turn out, and had over 100 people stay or come back to have lunch with us. What a great time of fellowship for the church, but even made lots of money too! All in all, it's been a good week. I'm organized on stuff, and it's real nice. The big prayer requests this week would be for a full time job for Sarah. She has some apps in that seem like good possibilities but no word yet. Also work on a permanent car and housing situation for her, so if you could pray that would be awesome. Alright off to bed.
