Bringing my getting hurt to a whole new level...

Well we all know my commonness for getting hurt, well tonight I did something I don't think I've ever done. Hurt someone else. Warming up for our softball game I broke one of my jr. highers noses. We were playing catch and he couldn't see the ball in the sun and it broke his nose. Good times! Ha!

First van now computer

So my laptop is in the shop for the 2nd time in a month. After they "fixed" it the last time it now freezes very often and today I got a pretty wrapping paper looking screen. So I'm beginning a search for a new computer. My guess is once it starts to go it will slowly die, so fun times. Still no word on the car yet, hoepfully something tomorrow. I'm excited for back to work. It's been a great, relaxing vacaation but I"m ready to be back. I miss all the students, and am excited for what the fall has in store. Pray for my attitude involveing money. With all my things breaking it gets expensive and very easy to get stressed out and focused on what I have and what I don't. I don't want to get focused on money, so pray that I keep a good attitude but it all!
I'll update soon

Well at least my vacation's not boring...or cheap

So I haven't updated since camp. Camp went really well. My hope is that seeds were planted. I had some great conversations and I can definately say it was a group building weekend. I'm amazed at how well this group gets along, it's great to see that sense of community. I am now on vacation and after spending a few days in Burien and am finally now in Oregon. We left my parents this morning about 12. Made it to Olympia for some lunch, left Olympia about 2 and then got to the lovely town of Longview. Actually my van stops about 4 miles North of Longview. Transmission dies. So I have a dead van in the middle of nowhere. So Dacia Gordon came down and rescued us, and we got the van towed to Longview, head back to Olympia, get Sarah's car so after about a 3 1/2 hour delay finally made it back on the road. Hopefully my van's not as bad as it looks but it was leaking Transmission Fluid everywhere , so definately looks like the Tranny is gone. Please pray that it will get fixed relatively quickly. They couldn't get to it today, so I don't know what my car situation is going to look like next week. Outside of that, it has been a wonderful, relaxing vacation!
Update more next week!

Tired but in need of a blog

I'm exhuasted and heading to bed, but couldn't miss sharing about a cool story this afternoon before I head to the high school campout tomorrow morning. One of our students who's coming on the trip came by this afternoon to help me make copies and do some other things. He's a recently graduated senior and headed to Central WAshington in the Fall. He attended faithfully 2-3 years ago and came back this January. We were in my office and he asked about Jesus being God, and it led to a great coversation and at the end of the afternoon he accepted Christ. It was so awesome to see. It was so clear to me in talking to him that he was so ready to make a commitment. He's been on our CHIC (conference in tennesee) and went to creation this summer, so Christ started to become real, but he made the commitment this afternoon. It makes me think of Elijah where he was looking for God in the big things, and found him in the ver small thing. I think sometimes we expect God to speak through the major conferences and retreats which he does, but awesome to see God work while making copies in our conference room. Very very awesome to watch God work in that way. And to see this quiet student to go from very quiet to excited about Christ and about what he's doing, is an awesome thing. Please pray for Pascal as he heads to Central, pray he can find a good church home and some good Christian friends in the area. Also be praying for my health. I've been fighting a cold and have a nasty cough as I leave for the campout. Thanks for praying

I'm still alive

Hey all, sorry it's been way too incredibly long since I've updated. I'm still alive. Chic, Creation and VBS have all gone very well. But it's been a really busy few weeks. My favorite part of the time has been this past week when students had an impromptu movie night and invited me and sarah. Very cool to see them doing extra things together and wanting us there! There's lots of excitement around our church, lots of great possibilities of new ministry opportunities. So there's much more I could say but I'm tired so II"ll update more in the next couple days when I'm more awake
